How I work
"Integrity in every weld" is on my truck because it's how I run this business. Before work starts, you know what the job needs and what it will cost. A small business stands on its word, and I keep mine.
Laying a bead is a small part of welding. Most of the work is fabrication and troubleshooting. That means finding why something broke, cutting back to sound metal and fitting the parts tight, so the repair lasts. The weak spot is then reinforced with plate or a gusset, and the rest gets inspected. Most work happens on site, and larger builds come back to the shop. I weld mild steel, stainless and aluminum.
I passed the AWS D1.1 structural weld test in the vertical position, on plate 1/8 in to unlimited thickness. D1.1 is the American Welding Society code for structural steel. An independent testing lab watched me weld the test plate, then tested it to confirm the weld was sound. In plain terms, it shows I can make a sound structural weld on steel 1/8 in and thicker.
The best way to reach me is a phone call. If I'm on a job, text a photo of what broke and I'll reply as soon as I'm free.

The details

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Neal's Mobile Welding holds Oregon CCB license #259068, is bonded, and is insured for $2 million in liability. A separate policy covers your equipment up to $100,000 if a weld fails or a fire starts. I passed the AWS D1.1 structural weld test, 1/8 in to unlimited thickness, and the business holds an A+ rating with the BBB. I've run it since 2021.
Do you stand behind your work?
Yes. Every job carries at least a one-year warranty, as Oregon requires. Handrails and aluminum truck skids carry a lifetime warranty.
How do I pay?
Card, Venmo, cash or check.
Can I bring it to your shop?
Yes, by appointment. The shop is at 2743 NE Bunn Rd, McMinnville, OR 97128, and it's the right place to review plans for a custom project. Please call first. Most days I'm out on a job, so walk-in repairs aren't possible.
